Topic: Data Breaches

Stolen credentials, insider attacks, and other forms of data breaches are in the news on a daily basis. Organizations are faced with significant negative fiduciary impact and reputation damage.

Arun Kothanath will present the state of economic impact relating to data breaches and provide guidance as to how organizations can avoid customer loss and reputational damage resulting from fraudulent activity.

Arun Kothanath, CISSP is a 12-year veteran in the information security and technology industry, and is sought after for his security expertise.  His recognition stems from his involvement with various security forums such as speaking at ISSA conferences and university forums, participating in the Cisco advisory panel, security adviser/Deputy CTO to Oracle through their Partner Advisory Council for identity management, and leading fraud management panels. In his spare time Kothanath authors whitepapers on the latest security trends and leads collaborative industry forums to promote security awareness.

How to RSVP for a breakfast meeting

FIRST:  send an email to:  reservations@cocfe.org

Please include the date of the meeting to which you are RSVP'ing.

 

Reservations required by four days in advance of meeting.  (For example, if the meeting is on Friday - you must RSVP by the previous Monday at 5:00pm)

 

SECOND:  After making your reservation, please pay for your meeting.  You can pay by cash/check at the door... or by PAYPAL before the meeting... Click here to go to PayPal buttons.

 

Breakfast meeting cost / Registration fees

Chapter members/affiliates  

$20.00

Student members 

$  5.00

Guests/non-members 

$30.00

Student guests (with student ID) 

$10.00

 

Registration includes a buffet breakfast and complimentary parking.

 

 

How to pay for a meeting

 

You may pay at the door by cash or check.

Reservation cancellations and NO-SHOWS

 

Cancellations must be received no later than 5:00pm two days before the meeting.  (Using the same example as above, you must cancel by the Wednesday prior to the Friday meeting)

 

If you are unable to attend the meeting - please feel free to substitute an associate or friend in your place.  If you are a member and they are not a member -  your guest will be charged the difference between the member and guest fee. 

 

NO SHOWS:  If you RSVP and don't attend the meeting - you will still be invoiced the meeting price.  We have to pay our caterers for all that RSVPd whether they attend or not.  Thanks for understanding. We shall waive this requirement only for verifiable emergency situations.

CPE Credit

 

ACFE awards a maximum of one (1) hour of CPE credit for attendance of breakfast training meetings. 

 

Seminars and other events may offer more CPE.  Please refer to specific information regarding meetings other than breakfast trainings for CPE credits.
